Sowah is one of the most in-demand weight-loss, nutrition and lifestyle trainers in Connecticut, and was recently named Best Trainer in Connecticut by the Hartford Courant. Akua Ba Fitness workouts involve challenging combinations of boxing, kick-boxing, plyometric, and functional training. “What I believe truly makes us different from other programs are my life experiences, which have prepared me for everything I do today and have taught me that at the end of the day, we all want to live better, more productive lives.”
Sowah’s approach to fitness marries myriad philosophies, including training in Afro-Brazilian capoeira and meditation. “Akua Ba Fitness is different in many ways because my past struggles help me to relate to people in pain who are struggling in their lives.
